Chillin' Behind the Desk

As you can see from the photos, I'm relaxing up front with the girls. Someone brings me my meals and I have no problem eating every bite. Dr. Pearce said that now he is not planning to do the big, complex surgery, but I may have to have another less complicated surgery. But for right now, my leg gets soaked a couple of times a day, the bandage is off, and my muzzle is on. I'm OK with that. I'm learning how to be friendly and trying to pay attention to the folks around me. I believe that I'm not small animal safe 'cause someone had a real little puppy the other day and I jumped up and was all about trying to get to that puppy. Of course, no harm was done to me or to the puppy, but the girls are watching me now, just to be sure. There is a resident cat at Dr. Pearce's, but I haven't really seen him. That's all for now...... just working on getting better so I can get on with this new phase of my life called "retirement."

50/50 Chance

Well, Dawn told me that she had to depend on Nina to get her blogs posted and she came by Tuesday afternoon just in time for my dressing change. Dr. Pearce wanted her to get some pictures for you all to see. I pretty much don't mind whatever needs to be done. He said that there is now a chance that he will not have to do another surgery. He is treating the infection and waiting for that to clear up. The wound is slowly healing. Please pray that I'll not have to have another surgery.

Some not so good news

As you know, I am the timid greyhound and don't have too much to say, but I wanted you to know what's going on with me. Nina will be posting my blogs for me. Dr. Pearce's staff is keeping me up front with them so I can get some socialization. I can roach really well and I don't mind being petted or loved on, but I won't initiate any interaction, kinda "standoffish." The bad news is Imust have another surgery when the infection is all cleared up. It is going to be a pretty serious surgery, but I know I am in good hands. Nina took some photos of me last week to share with you.

Guilty!

Not much to say. Nina had planned on taking me and Dawn last Saturday to meet Liz and Anne Marie, but I had to go and chew through my dressing. My Bad!!! So now I get to spend a lot of time up front with Dr. Pearce's staff. Of course, when Dawn came in Friday afternoon she immediately made herslf at home, just like she is the "Queen" or something! I'm still too timid. I couldn't even give Nina a wag of my tail. But in time and with lots of love and care I'm sure I will be a lot less reserved.
