Husky is settling in and getting more comfortable with the other hounds in the house. She will now come lay on a dog bed in the dens with everyone else at night. But is something spooks her she will go immediately to her crate, this is her safe place . But those times are getting farther apart. She is using her leg very well and even attempt to play a little.

Husky loves to go into the yard and just lay and look around. So Husky needs a fenced yard for her forever home and someone who is very patient with her, letting her be with them when she feels comfortable. She still has come vetting to go and will hopefully soon be ready to search for the special forever home.

Will try to gets some new pictures of her soon, when ever she does something cute the camera is always in the other room.

Well I have been here 2 months and I finally decided it is safe to go to the computer room and sleep on a dog bed.

My leg seems to be doing good and I am walking on it most of the time. I sometime hold it up when I get excited.

I am going to visit Foster Mom Cathey for the week end while my foster Mom and sisters go to the Reunion in Memphis. I will let you know how that goes when I get back home.

My second week here.

Husky here, I wanted to check in and let everyone know how things are going here for me in the Trapp household. So far all is well, I still stay in my crate most of the time except for pottie breaks. The crate door is open so I can come out if I like but so far I am just more conformable inside. No real problems with my foster sister, except when I get treats and they look at mine, sometimes I have to let them know they belong to me, I just talk to them, no snapping or anything that serious.

My foster Mom made me come out of the crate so she could give me fresh bedding Monday and she put me in the room where the computer is and put the baby gate up so I couldn't run back in my crate. There are lots of bed in there and I found one that was pretty comfortable and took a nap. This might be a place I would be comfortable with in the future.

My leg seems to be a little better and I am walking a little better on it than last week, I am not licking it anymore so I don't have to wear that Muzzle when Mom is away. I am sure glad of that.

Will keep in touch and let everyone know how things are going for me. So far so good.

Arrival in Nashville

Well Nini and me traveled afar piece today and finally arrived in Nashville where I met my new foster Mom Liz. She seems to be OK. I moved over to yet another vehicle and rode another far piece to my next new home. I was pretty tired and napped most of the way.
Finally we arrived and I investigated the yard for a few minutes and then into the house to meet my new step sisters, all 5 of them. We all sniffed each other and then I spotted an empty crate, it just had to be mine so in I went and took another nap. I will let you know later how this all works out,so far no one has been bad to me so I think I will be fine here.

I'm traveling today

Good Morning, I've had a really good weekend with Nina and Bob. I had no problem with Evan, Debutante, or Barney. They are my new friends. I've stayed in the guest crate except when Nina took me outside to potty. I've had no accidents in my crate and I've done well on leash. While they were home I've not had to wear my muzzle, but when they left for a few hours and at night I've had it on. Nina did find out that I don't like flying things like flies, moths, wasps, etc. I'm kinda excited about our trip to Nashville and getting to meet my foster Mom, Liz. I think I will be with her a long time, but that will help me develop a little more personality. Nina said I will have five foster sisters to help me.

A few more photos

Here are a few more photos of my discharge yeaterday......

Friday the 13th.. My lucky day

Good Morning everyone, Well yesterday was my lucky day! Dr. Pearce called to say that I could be picked up and Nina came to get me yesterday afternoon. I am moving into the next chapter of retirement. Bob was waiting for me at home as were Evan, Debutante, and Barney. We did the usual doggie introductions (i.e. butt sniffing) and all was well. From the video it looks like I was not very excited to leave the comfort of Dr. Pearce's office. I've been doing fine at Nina's do far. I ate good last night (after Nina put my dish in the right spot in my crate. I am picky about that.) and I slept through the night. She said we are leaving Monday morning for Nashville where my foster Mom, Liz, will meet us and take me to her house. All this is so new for me. I know I have to work harder at developing a personality.
